* What is IP coating?
A process called ion plating ( ip) is used to get the gold, black, rose gold ,chocolate or any other color onto the stainless steel. Ion plating (ip) is a physical vapor deposition technique to form metal coatings on other metals and alloys. For example: to form a gold color onto jewelry, the gold is turned into a fog which was then absorbed by the stainless steel through a vaccum process. It is more durable than traditional plating because it is not done by merely placing a top coat on top of another metal (which may easily flake off). It is done by actually absorbing the color into itself.
